Conor McGregor hints at return to UFC for rematch with Dustin Poirier.

McGregor has hinted of a return to the octagon for a match against Dustin Poirier.

He has claimed that he has accepted an offer for a rematch against Dustin Poirier but insists the fight must take place this year.

McGregor once again hung up his gloves in June for the third time in four years, and he has since suggested that he is ready to return to the Octagon after taking to social media to reveal his plans.

In their one and only encounter so far back in 2014, McGregor eased to victory after stopping Poirier in the first round in Las Vegas to become a two-weight world champion.

Both McGregor and Poirier had discussed a charity bout to be held in December but they could now go head-to-head for a shot at the lightweight title.

McGregor hinted at his UFC return in a series of tweets last month after revealing a number of screenshots between him and the sport’s chief, Dana White.
