• Arsenal kicked off this season’s title campaign on a high note registering impressive results
  • Mikel Arteta went shopping for great talents like Willian to boost his charges and this is paying off
  • Reports have been rife that Arsenal wants to off-load maverick star Alexandre Lacazette after a fall-out
  • Club legend Kevin Campbell has warned against selling the move saying Lacazette is a vital asset

Football giants Arsenal have been warned against selling one of their most valuable assets as the club sets the stage to defend its standing in the league.

Former club star and legend Kevin Campbell has warned Mikel Arteta and the club against releasing Alexandre Lacazette whom he said is so important.

According to Campbell, Laca is an integral part of Arteta’s charges and should be retained at all costs

Football fans across the divide will agree with Campbell that Laca has over the years created a superb chemistry with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and have come out as the perfect match.

Lacazette celebrates with Aubamenyang during a past match.

Any time the two appear on the line-up, fans, even from rival teams, expect great show infront of the goal and it gets even much merrier when either of them scores – their celebrations is everything.

Talks of impending offloading of the player gained momentum at the end of last season when word went out that he had fallen out of favour with Arteta.

Laca has been heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

His form was said to be dropping towards the end of last season but ever since this new season kicked off, he has again shown his mettle with superb performances proving he is still a force.

“I don’t follow rumours, but losing Lacazette would be a big blow for Arsenal, there’s no one else in the squad who can do what he does for the team. Lacazette is an integral part of what Arsenal do and I do think he’s committed to the club. He also has a really good relationship with Aubameyang and it’s a relationship that Arsenal really should be looking to utilise on the pitch,” Campbell said.

He says that letting Laca leave would be a big blow to Aubameyang and Arsenal as a whole explaining that no one else in the club can match what the striker does on the pitch.
