Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new deal at Arsenal.

The club’s skipper has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club for an additional three years/

Aubameyang’s contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign and the club was keen to keep their lethal forward at the club.

Speculation emerged that the Gabonese international would move away from the club with Barcelona and Inter Milan said to be looking to sign him.

The announcement of a new contract kept the North-London faithful on bated breaths to see if the FA Cup hero would remain at the club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has repeatedly spoken of his desire to keep the lethal forward, seeing him as an important piece in his squad.

In a feed shared on the club’s twitter page, Aubameyang speaks of his love for the club and the fans as well as his desire to becoming an Arsenal legend like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Ian Wright.


Aubameyang led Arsenal to FA Cup glory with two goals in the final against Chelsea and a goal and winning penalty against Liverpool to lift the Community Shield.

The skipper was on target as Arsenal humbled Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
