The Lakers are back in the lead of Western Conference semi-final series with a win over Houston Rockets on Tuesday.
Having pulled back from a defeat last week, the Lakers brought the series even on Sunday with a comprehensive win, and after last night’s win, they now lead the series.
James was the man of the night, scoring 36 points and thereby becoming the all-time leader in NBA postseason wins.
Compatriot Anthony Davis added 26 points and 15 rebounds to round off a vital win for the Lakers.
The win earned James his 162nd career playoff victory, topping the mark set by Derek Fisher.
The Rockets were without reserve forward Daniel House Jr who was away on personal reasons. James Harden rallied the Rockets with 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while Russell Westbrook rebounded from a rocky Game 2 with 30 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but was not enough to gather a win.
They will now take a 2-1 lead into Game 4 of the best-of-seven series on Thursday.
