Tyson Fury claims he will ‘batter’ Anthony Joshua in the First Round of their mega-fight

Tyson Fury has claimed that he will ‘batter’ Anthony Joshua in the first round of their fight.

The two boxers have been at a war of words ahead of their blockbuster clash in 2021.

AJ previously stated that he intended to knock-out the Gypsy King in the sixth round of their ‘Battle of Britain’.

The two heavyweight boxers have agreed financial terms on a two-fight deal, which has one less hurdle to overcome after Dillian Whyte was removed as the mandatory challenger to Fury’s WBC belt following his knockout defeat by Alexander Povetkin.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are set to clash in a ‘Battle of Britain’ in 2021

Fury made the claims in an Instagram Q&A with his fans:

I would batter Joshua inside the first round.

AJ appearing at ‘A League Of Their Own’ said:

First six rounds, I think, well I know I’m going to take him out then. I have had a shorter career, so I’m fresher.

Ahead of their clash, Fury is set to defend the world title he stripped Wilder of back in February, either at the back end of this year or early in 2021, and has been cleared by the WBC to take whatever fight he wants to should he come through victorious.

Joshua, meanwhile, is scheduled to take on Pulev and is hoping to face Fury afterwards to decide the first undisputed heavyweight champion since the early 2000s.
