Dean Henderson has demanded to either be first choice goalkeeper or be sold.

Henderson has enjoyed a stellar season on-loan at Sheffield United in the recently concluded season.

He has since returned to his boyhood club on the back of two impressive seasons with Sheffield, and there have been calls for him to replace the error-prone David de Gea in goal.

He is said to have told United Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make him first choice or find him a new club

De Gea has been United’s undisputed No.1 goalkeeper for the last nine seasons, but according to The Sun, Henderson does not want to be his understudy and has told Solskjaer to let him leave if he cannot guarantee first team football.

Henderson is said to have admirers at Chelsea, who are having a goalkeeping crisis of their own after Frank Lampard became underwhelmed by the performances of £70million man Kepa Arrizabalaga and benched him for Willy Caballero.

The 23-year-old made 97 saves in goal for the Blades as they made a push for European football under Chris Wilder, as he also contributed with 13 clean sheets to help the team boast one of the best defences in the division.
