Mtaani Live second edition went down at Gilgil on Saturday afternoon.

The Mtaani Live Show premiered on May 30th and brought together performing artists from Nakuru town constituencies.

The drive is a partnership between Ideal Sounds and Events, Nakuru TV and Simor Music, sponsored by Nakuru County Government.

The second edition took place at Comboni Polytechnic in Gilgil sub-county where the artists performed on stage with the show streamed on various social media platforms.

The show rides on Identifying, Nurturing and Promoting local talent within the county.

With the ban on social gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic, most performing artists have found themselves challenged without shows or events.

The show aims at showcasing the talents that range from comedians, musicians, fashion designers, filmmakers, poets and spoken word artists.

The show was graced by the County minister for Youth, Gender, Culture, Sports and Social Services Eng. Lucy Kariuki urged the artists to keep venturing and use the various social media platforms to exercise their talents.

Also present were ministry’s Chief Officer Dr William Migwe and Director of Gender, Culture and Betting Control Ms Selina Nkatha.

The next event will be heading to Kuresoi North and Kuresoi South sub-counties.
