Manchester United put five past Bournemouth in their push for Champions League football next season.

Manchester United came from a goal down to register a comprehensive win over struggling Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The visitors went ahead through Junior Stanislas who fired Bournemouth into the lead after burying beyond David de Gea from a difficult angle.

Mason Greenwood would then draw the match to a level fourteen minutes later with a wonderful right-footed strike.

Marcus Rashford got his first goal since the restart after converting a penalty in the 35th minute.

United should have taken the lead after 10 minutes. Rashford received the ball on the left hand touchline deep in his own half and drove a sumptuous long pass inside Lloyd Kelly and into the path of Fernandes.

Fernandes was clean through on Aaron Ramsdale but instead of taking the ball round the keeper as he rushed out to meet him, he tried to lob the ball over him and it went over the bar.

The Portuguese would get his goal in the 59th minute with a perfectly taken free kick from the edge of the box, to get his sixth goal since joining United in January.
