Rita Kavashe, managing director of Isuzu East Africa has been appointed as a non-executive director of British American Tobacco Kenya effective July 2, 2020.

Her career in the automotive industry began in 1995 in General Motors at its East African operations where she has worked for the last 25 years.

She is the current chair of the Kenya Roads Board (KRB), a Non-Executive Director of Bamburi Cement Limited (LaFarge Group), Vice-Chair of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), and serves as a member of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.

She is also an executive coach certified by the Academy of Executive Coaches (AOEC) UK.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Moi University and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi.
