Kenya’s top footballer and towering figure Musa Otieno has been admitted to hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.
The former Harambee Stars captain and skipper is being treated for the disease at Mbagathi hospital in Nairobi.
Khusoko understands that Otieno was taken ill and rushed to the hospital on Sunday, June 28.
One of his close friends, revealed his situation through a social media post.
Otieno had been busy in the past days risking his life as he tried to assist the less privileged and hard-hit Kenyans as the Covid-19 pandemic bites.
During his time, Otieno played for AFC Leopard and Tusker Fc. In 1991, he moved to South Africa and signed for Santos. He helped them win the PSL title in 2001-02, the Bob Save Super Bowl in 2001, the BP Top 8in 2002, and the ABSA Cup in 2003.

Later, Musa’s career progressed and he moved to USA played for Cleveland City Stars. At Cleveland he went on to make seven appearances, scoring one goal, and helping them to the USL2 title.
Otieno retired in 2011 having made over 300 appearances and scoring more than 30 goals for Santos.
Otieno became an assistant coach in 2011 with Zedekiah Otieno as interim head coach and also had a stint working under former coach Stanley Okumbi.
