Listed Kenyan real estate company Home Afrika has appointed Ms. Bertha Nuvari Mvati and Ms. Frida A. Owinga as Non-Executive Directors to its Board of Directors with effect from 15 June 2020.
Ms. Bertha is a Finance specialist with close to 10 year’s experience n leasing industry across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda.
“She brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, credit risk, operations, and asset management having worked in various institutions such as Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Limited and Centum Investments for Zohari Leasing,” said Dan Awendo, Managing Director Home Afrika on her appointment.
Mvati also serves on the boards of Avantis Services Ltd and Jubilant Stewards of Africa, an NGO. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance as well as a Diploma in Business Administration from the Uganda Christian University.
Ms. Frida on the other hand is a learning and development coach and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the industry.
“She brings a wealth of knowledge in business development, fundraising, mentorship, and business management having served in various institutions,” said Awendo.
She has worked in areas such as Passion Profit Limited, SME Founders Association, Excellent Image, Inc, Atlanta, Georgia, Jubilee Christina Church, Business Networking International among other firms.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organisational Leadership and Management from Regent University, Virginia Beach.
