Five Barcelona players tested positive for coronavirus but the team chose to keep the information secret.
Reports indicate that five of Barcelona’s first-team players tested positive for coronavirus.
The report made by Catalan Radio station RAC1 said that the players tested positive though they did not exhibit any symptoms of the virus.
The players were not revealed in the broadcast, although it was revealed that the positive tests were returned towards the start of the crisis.
It was claimed that each of the players showed no symptoms of the disease and were only aware they were positive after undergoing blood tests.
The five players have since recovered and are in training as the league gears up for resumption.
The league leaders failed to disclose the information to the public and are yet to respond to the accusations made by the media outlet.
Barcelona lead the table with 58 points, two points ahead of arc-rivals Real Madrid who sit in second with 56 points.

Barcelona will resume the season with a visit to Mallorca, who sit in the relegation zone, on June 13.
The Catalans are still in the Champions league competition, heading to the second leg of the last-16 after a 1-1 draw with Napoli in the first leg.
