UFC: Jon Jones reveals he is VACATING heavyweight title

UFC light-heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has revealed that he is vacating the title.

The champion has been at a war of words and spats with the UFC President Dana White over pay.

Jones had previously claimed that he deserved to receive ‘more money’ for his fights in the octagon.

The discontent between Dana White and Jones began during the latter’s negotiation for a fight against the menacing heavyweight fighter Francis Ngannou.

White dispelled the fighter’s argument saying that Jones had demanded for up to £24million, a figure that was exorbitant – an allegation that Jones dispelled and called a lie.

This has led the fighter to claiming that he has relinquished his title.

Jones is deemed by many as one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA having lost only one in a controversial disqualification for using illegal elbow strikes.

He also had a victory over Daniel Cormier overturned after testing positive for banned substance turinabol after their fight in 2017.

Having defended his title against Dominick Reyes in February, Jones is on the hunt for huge fights and big paydays – quoting in a tweet of how he would make more in boxing.
