LaLiga Plans to Have Games EVERY DAY for a Month

LaLiga Sides told they can resume training

LaLiga is planning to have the games played every single day for a month to facilitate the completion of the league.

LaLiga President Javier Tebas has stated that the league games would be played every day for a whole month to ensure that the games are completed.

Spanish football has been on hold since March when games were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

LaLiga plans to resume
LaLiga president Javier Tebas is hoping that football in Spain can make its return on June 12

Clubs from Spain’s top two divisions have returned to training in recent days after the government relaxed lockdown rules and La Liga revealed on Sunday that five players would remain in quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19 ahead of a proposed restart in June.

In a statement at a Press Interview, Tebas said:

I’d like it to be June 12, but we have to be careful. It will depend on many factors such as potential a rise in infections, factors which don’t depend on football but on Spanish society. We have to be very careful and focused on following the health measures. The virus is still there. With less infections, but it’s still there.

While there is cause for concern, Tebas is optimistic that the numbers will stay relatively low.

The plan is for the two leagues to start at the same time and Tebas revealed that there would be football every day as LaLiga looks to finish both competitions by the end of July.

Once LaLiga restarts, there will be football every day. That’s the idea, football every day so that we can finish the competition.
