NCBA  and UBA bank have committed Ksh100 million and KSh15 million respectively to help the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The funds will go towards the government’s Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund.

The contribution will go towards humanitarian support for the vulnerable members of the Kenyan society. 

“As a bank we acknowledge that we have a central role to play in supporting individuals, businesses and the economy during this crisis and facilitating rapid and sustained recovery. Our contribution is aimed at protecting and safeguarding people’s lives in our community,” said Group Managing Director John Gachora.

Additionally, the United Bank for Africa, Kenya, also donated KSh15 million, through the UBA Foundation, to the fund.

UBA Kenya’s donation is part of the USD14 million donated by UBA Group, through the UBA Foundation, to national governments across all its 20 presence countries in Africa, to catalyse a comprehensive pan-African response to the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.
