Listed firm Longhorn Publishers, has named Emma Miloyo, an Architect as an independent director to its Board of Directors with effect April 1, 2020.

Ms Miloyo is a Director at Kiota School where she has overseen the growth of student enrollment and the establishment of 3 new campuses for the school.

She has also steered Kiota School to be a provider of quality education in a creative and innovative way.

Miloyo is a practicing Architect and partner at Design Source with vast experience in the building industry in the East and Central Africa region. 

She was the first female President of the Architectural Association of Kenya (2017-2019) and was recognized as one of “Top 40 under 40 Women” in Kenya in 2011 and in 2018 by the Nation Media Group’s Business Daily.

“Her lifelong ambition is to inspire young women and help them break the glass ceiling that has limited their success, especially in male-dominated fields like architecture,” she says on her Linkedin Page.

She graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) with first-class honours in architecture, the first woman to do so.
