Airtel Kenya has waived the transaction fees across all bands on its mobile money service.

In an announcement made on Monday, all person to person money transfer will be free for the next 90 days.

“Airtel Kenya has decided to remove all its transaction fees, making it possible for Kenyans to send and receive money for gree on its Airtel money platform,” Prasanta Das Sarma, Managing Director Airtel Networks Kenya Limited said in a statement.

The telco also increased the transaction limits and the amounts individuals can hold in their mobile wallets.

Daily transaction limits have been increased from Ksh70,000 to Ksh150,000 while the daily limit for mobile money transactions raised to Ksh300,000 from Ksh140,000.

The limit subscribers can hold in their wallets has also increased to Ksh300,000 from Ksh140,000.
