Honorable Justice Isaac Lenaola, Justice of the Supreme Court of Kenya and the Deputy Principal Judge of the East African Court of Justice is the 2019 Jurist of the Year.
“For consistently, fearlessly and impartially espousing values and ideals that have immensely contributed to the promotion and protection of human rights, the rule of law, justice and democracy in Kenya and the Africa region,” said the Kenyan Section of International Jurists.
“He has affirmed and reaffirmed to the country the importance of judicial independence in enhancing the rule of law and justice which are core pillars of our nation.”
